I live on Foxwell Street not far from the location on Glen Scarlett Rd. I've live here for more
that 25 years and raised my daughter here. (She had asthma by the way and I recently learned that
this neighbourhood has one of the highest rate of asthma.) It was my understanding that the
stockyards would be redeveloped and the smell of meat processing would cease to blow through our
neighbourhood. I'm concerned about more odour and emissions with this expansion. There's quite a
bit of new residential development in the area with young families, these children deserve to grow
up in an emission free neighbourhood and the people who purchased homes, pay property taxes, shop
in the community and believed in the redevelopment of this community deserve consideration.
I say no to contaminant emissions to the atmosphere that nclude chlorine dioxide, lactic acid,
nitrogen oxides, noise, and odour.
