We have made numerous complaints by email to the company and the local ministry of the environment regarding the loud noises emitted by this mill at all times of the day. Many times I have been woken up from a dead sleep by the banging and clanging of the mill.  It is impossible to sleep with an open window when the mill runs.There seems to be very minimal effort to address the problem despite many complaints and absolutely no move towards addressing it on a permanent basis. Even enjoying any time on our back deck in the summer is rare now that the mill is operating and the noise is so loud.

A group of neighbours have had several meetings with the local ministry of the environment whose hands seem to be tied to address the noise pollution.

The kiln that they are applying to operate has been in operation since the fire destroyed their last one.

Before this application is approved, for the sake of our sanity and the value of our properties that are declining because it is becoming an unappealing aspect of living in this neighbourhood, we would like to see that the noise emissions are addressed in an effective permanent fashion and not by a temporary and ineffective log wall.
