There should be no exceptions to emissions standards. These are designed to protect human and ecological health. We can't afford to compromise either, otherwise we threaten to increase the stress on the overburdened health care system today, and threaten the health of future Ontarians.

As well there is the issue of our urgent need to move away from burning any fossil fuels. Better to invest in more renewable and low-emissions energy sources and close down all gas-fired plants. Human society cannot afford to continue adding greenhouse gases to earth's atmosphere.
