I'm writing to express my opposition to the Transition Metals Corp- Mineral exploration permit as it stands at this time. As an owner of a property on nearby Hawkeye Lake, I have numerous concerns regarding the proposal, namely both the environmental impacts this will have on the surrounding areas as well as the lack of infrastructure to support such an endeavour.

The main roads named in the proposal (Mapleward Rd and Gilbride Rd) are both ill-equipped to sustain increased industrial traffic. It is almost unimaginable the level of impact on safety utilizing this road as a thoroughfare to the proposed location will cause. It is already a tenuous drive at times, what with a nonexistent shoulder, numerous curves and an abundance of blind driveways. Adding even more large utility trucks per day will surely have grave consequences. As the parent of 3 young children whom will be driving on that road in the coming years, it makes me sick to think of the additional hazards and danger they may face should this proposal be approved.
