Hello my name is Addie and I’ve been canoeing through Wolf Lake and the surrounding protected area. Hearing about the plans to mine in the area are to me shocking and also disappointing, as in the long term these plans will not be beneficial but rather hurt the local economy, the ecosystem and the outdoor tourism industry which relies heavily on the beauty and pristine nature of temagami and Wolf Lake. The outdoor tourism sector will inevitably continue to grow, as cities become more crowded and people seek escapes into nature. Please reconsider these plans and consider the beauty and fragility of the natural environment in which you plan to work on and the preservation of this land.
