I liked the ability to add notices from the search function in the old EBR rather than clicking on each notice to follow. As well as, being able to add notices of items that have closed and decisions were made for just as a reference - which doesn't seem to be the case with the redesign. It would have been helpful to be able to keep the old EBR login information and associated notices instead of creating a new a login and re-searching and selecting notices. " 8,Somewhat dissatisfied,This is my first time,Yes,The redesign has somewhat worsened the registry,Very difficult,Very difficult,Somewhat easy,no,"This survey is poorly designed. I missed information in the 5. 'other' field, and it was not immediately evident as to what I had missed (the screen refreshed to bring the screen to question #4 and the ""enter other"" field was not red. I saw neither the ""other"" field, nor the message at the top (which I would never see anyway based on implementation)" 9,Somewhat satisfied,4-5 times,Yes,The redesign has substantially improved the registry,Very easy,Not applicable,Not applicable,a provincial government ,"When reviewing submitted comments, it would be nice if their was a ""next"" button so you don't have to go back to the list of comments to select the next one. However, after selecting a filter, the other filter options disappear. For example, I selected ""Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change"" for the Posted By filter. The filters other ministries become unavailable. Is it possible to have an option to select multiple filters? If I wanted to search for both MOECC and Ministry of Energy at the same time, for example? The redesign looks wonderful, by the way! It's much more accessible for the public!" 11,,,,,,,,, 12,Very satisfied ,This is my first time,No,,Very easy,Very easy,Very easy, the general public, 13,Very satisfied ,2-3 times,Yes,The redesign has substantially improved the registry,Somewhat easy,Somewhat easy,Not applicable,a provincial government , 14,Very dissatisfied,This is my first time,Yes,The redesign has substantially worsened the registry,Very difficult,Very easy,Somewhat easy,a municipal government ,"Although the new proposed design has a modern and clean look, the new design is difficult for someone who is objectively viewing the postings. For instance, viewing the first 20 postings on a page takes a significant amount of scrolling through the page. Although it's a desktop website, it looks like it was designed to be viewed on a tablet with large text titles. Like the current EBR website, there should be an option to view the postings as a list that will allow quick scanning of relevant postings." 15,Very dissatisfied,This is my first time,Yes,The redesign has substantially worsened the registry,Very difficult,Not applicable,Not applicable, the general public,"If it is not broke, then don't fix it." 16,Somewhat satisfied,Over 10 times,Yes,The redesign has substantially improved the registry,Somewhat easy,Very easy,Very easy,a non-profit or voluntary organization, 17,Somewhat satisfied,This is my first time,Yes,The redesign has somewhat improved the registry ,Somewhat difficult,Somewhat easy,Not applicable,a municipal government , 18,Very satisfied ,This is my first time,Yes,The redesign has substantially improved the registry,Neither easy nor difficult,Very easy,Not applicable,a provincial government ,"- Search seems to be a partial keyword search. Table format is easier to sort for information. For example, if I am looking for decisions/notices related to Toxics Reduction act, it is easier to identify all the relevant information in a table view (see old registry as example. Basically don't make any change if there is nothing wrong with it. And there is nothing wrong with the old website. The new website just looks pretty, but functionally, it is not helpful when looking for information. This idea applies to the MOECC updated website as well. So hard to find information. Please just keep it simple..." 22,Somewhat dissatisfied,This is my first time,Yes,The redesign has somewhat worsened the registry,Somewhat difficult,Somewhat difficult,Very difficult, the general public,"compared to the tabular format of the previous version: -the redesigned search results take up too much space on the screen; you were able to see at a glance what the results were in an easy to read tabular format. - more difficult to read -font too big - there is less information provided in the redesigned search results. " 23,Somewhat satisfied,This is my first time,Yes,The redesign has somewhat improved the registry ,Somewhat difficult,Very easy,Not applicable,a provincial government ,"First - congratulations on the redesign! The new site looks great. However, I'm wondering if it will be possible to view a simple list of recent postings like on the old site. While I agree that the old site was not user-friendly, I think the simple, table view of all postings was very useful in providing a quick glance at recent registry activity. On the new site, each posting takes up so much space that it's difficult to get the same kind of snapshot." 24,Very satisfied ,This is my first time,Yes,The redesign has substantially improved the registry,Very easy,Very easy,Not applicable,a provincial government ,Much easier to navigate. Appreciate the listings of Ministries down the left side so can quickly see what each Ministry has posted. 25,Very dissatisfied,2-3 times,Yes,The redesign has substantially worsened the registry,Very difficult,Somewhat easy,Not applicable, the general public,I searched for the same key word on both the old registry and the new registry. The old registry returned what I needed. Those same results did not appear on the new registry. The results on the new registry were not at all applicable to what I searched for. The key word didn't even appear in any of the results. 26,Neither satisfied nor dissatisfied,4-5 times,Yes,The redesign has somewhat improved the registry ,Somewhat difficult,Somewhat difficult,Not applicable,a provincial government ,"OK it is better, but its a work in progress. The Registry seems like a black box. There should be a list of Proposals, Notices, regulations etc. you should be able to view by ministry of media. Take a look at the CEAA registry http://www.ceaa.gc.ca/050/evaluations/Index there is a mapping function. " 27,Somewhat satisfied,2-3 times,,,,,,, 28,Somewhat dissatisfied,4-5 times,Yes,The redesign has somewhat worsened the registry,Somewhat difficult,Somewhat easy,Not applicable, public agency,"The previous registry had the 'see notices from the last 7/30 days', which was useful. I also liked the table format of the search results in previous registry. It showed a lot of notices at a glance which made it easy for the user to screen for notices of interest and to see the posting date. Now, you have to read through a lot of information and decipher a lot of dates in each entry and scroll down, rather than scan titles/posting types. Also, the filters should be on the right hand side as they are currently somewhat disruptive. Overall, the current site requires too much scrolling - both on the search results and the individual posting page. I understand this is to enable mobile use but it was really great in the previous registry to have some information on the side, etc. so that scrolling is minimized. The related files (pdfs, etc.) should be put at the top or at least made more apparent. They are hidden at the bottom. However, it is helpful that instruments are not included in the search." 29,Very satisfied ,2-3 times,Yes,The redesign has somewhat improved the registry ,Very easy,Very easy,Not applicable,a municipal government ,"I like the clear coloured buttons stating the status of the documents on the new site. My main search is based on a range of dates as I regularly search the site. I preferred selecting the date from a calendar than having to hand write in the date. Also, it didn't indicate a format for the date so I had to guess how to fill the field in. I also search based on notice type, so like that it is a clear filter on the new site. I really like the summary that is provided with each new entry vs just the title on the old site. It helps to assess if it is applicable. I have not submitted any comments on the new site, however my preference on the old was to email a document to the owner of the ER# as our comments were usually a few pages. A colleague submitted comments on the new site, and had difficulty with it. It would be handy to upload a document containing our comments instead of copying/pasting them into the text box, or to email them directly." 30,Very satisfied ,2-3 times,Yes,The redesign has substantially improved the registry,Very easy,Somewhat easy,Very easy, the general public,Very well organized and easy to navigate. 31,Somewhat satisfied,4-5 times,Yes,The redesign has somewhat improved the registry ,Very easy,Neither easy nor difficult,Very easy,a non-profit or voluntary organization,I find some of the postings very lengthy now. This was a feature in the old registry. -The old registry had filtering options to select ""last week"", ""last month"" etc. These were useful, please bring this feature to the new site. It was easier to copy and paste the relevant information for multiple entries into whatever document I was using to record the items. The old format showed EBR Registry number, title, type, date, MOE ref number all on one line. Now it's on multiple lines and isn't really copy paste friendly. I do like the hyperlink aspect of the new format but there seems to be a lot more scrolling required to get to the information." 49,Very dissatisfied,4-5 times,Yes,The redesign has substantially worsened the registry,Very difficult,Very easy,Very easy,a non-profit or voluntary organization,"The search function of the new registry is significantly more difficult to use than the old registry. My former ex's foundation should not even be in my life. My children fell apart and ended up with different difficult women who caused him serious harm , and will not and refuse to try and get in contact with me; call for an ambulance , have them searched and have my son put in a better health facility and a real one. The weather is the best part of my day and hope someone comes up with a quick solution. I'm not where you people say I am or think I am someone else. I don't know.
