Original proposal
Proposal details
This application is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage works) for discharge of pre-screened vegetable washwater to an existing South Lagoon, located east of the farm building, at 305 Holancin Road, Township of King; in an area without tile drainage.
The South lagoon has an approximate capacity of 483 cubic metres and the proposed maximum daily flow rate is 40,000 litres per day. The South lagoon has been assessed to be hydraulically contained with upward gradients. It is proposed that the South Lagoon be dredged of accumulated organic solids on an as needed basis to maintain lagoon capacity. Organic solids will be applied to the land adjacent to the lagoon.
