Description of instrument

Application has been made by River Valley Developments Inc. to vary a condition of the current licence to authorize an increase in the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed in a calendar year. The current licence condition states that “It is a condition of this licence that no more than 500,000 tonnes of material shall be removed in any one calendar year”. River Valley Developments Inc. has requested that the tonnage limit be increased to 1 million tonnes annually.

This increase has been requested by the licensee to address the higher demand for aggregates in the area.
