The environment must be protected at all costs; one of the #1 reasons for extinction is habitat loss, and our very well-being depends on how healthy the ecosystem is. It must not be put in danger for the sake of capitalist interests.

Our environment is much more important than "business opportunities". Our descendants won't thank us if we leave an environmental mess that will take decades to clean up just because a government thought it was more important for corporations to make money.

I sincerely hope that the Ontario government will see that the only change needed to our Endangered Species Act is to add further protection for our endangered species and put stronger restrictions on businesses and developers that would cause further habitat loss and damage. Lire davantage
