Climate Change is causing severe drought which affects our groundwater resources and the farms in Wellington County (where I live) which depend on them for irrigation of crops. I, as a resident of Centre Wellington support the extension of the moratorium of water bottling permits. I think the community would benefit from this extension, provided that time is used effectively, to complete current water studies, regarding current and future needs of the community. It's very difficult for me to understand why our spring water needs to be sold at all, let alone at a absolutely ridiculously low price, for resale back to us at thousands of times the price we sold it. I support the moratorium on water bottling permits. Ontario water is safe. There is no need for bottled water. The Nestle facility at Aberfoyle produces the equivalent of a billion 500ml plastic bottles annually. Lire davantage
