Bill 4, Cap and Trade Cancellation Act 2018 is a tremendous waste of money. The federal carbon tax will take the place of the provincial one. This is pointless because the federal carbon tax is planned to eventually be much higher than the provincial one. Lire davantage

Please do not scrap the carbon tax! Experts agree that we are headed for climate catastrophe and carbon taxing is one of the most effective ways to slow it down. Keep the carbon tax!

Since 2010, Citizens’ Climate Lobby Canada has been advocating for carbon fee and dividend: an incrementally rising price on carbon pollution where 100% of the fees collected are returned to citizens. Lire davantage

Dear Premier Ford and staff, Do you not have anyone in your life, that you care about enough, that you want to contribute to a better world for them? I believe the removal of cap and trade is a step backwards. Lire davantage

As an Ontarian residentand voter, I am vehemently opposed to Bill 4 which repeals the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-Carbon Economy Act, 2016 without the establishment of a predefined and guaranteed replacement.

It's amazing that we (as the human species) are dumping 35,000,000,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide into the Earth's atmosphere every year and the Ontario Government now doesn't think this is a problem. Remember how cap-and-trade was super-effective at eliminating acid rain? Lire davantage

I fully support the cap and trade system, and putting a price on carbon emissions. As a mother of two young children, I worry deeply about the very real impact of climate change, and how it will affect their lives. It is ignorant and irresponsible to get rid of the cap and trade system. Lire davantage

Please do not cancel the Cap and Trade Act. There is very clear scientific evidence summarized by the IPCC that climate change is real and is going to adversely affect Canadians and Ontarians. There is also clear scientific/economic evidence that carbon pricing will work. Lire davantage

As per the newly released IPCC report on climate change, the world needs to reduce carbon emissions by half in the next decade and Ontario needs to participate since Ontario produces about half of all Canada’s GHG (greenhouse gas). Lire davantage

Poor choice. I support cap and trade. Also money raised from other programs was being diverted into improving the efficiency of various hospitals and other public buildings why cancel things that were working? Lire davantage

I’d like to know what this govt is planning to do to slow down climate change! By removing so many incentives you are ignoring hard facts and taking a very short term view of our situation. We need to encourage energy efficiency in both industrial and residential settings. Lire davantage

Hello, I don't think you should cancel this act. I think cancelling it will be a huge hindrance to everyone. As a homeowner I've used many projects through the green on program, for updates that i would have never been able to afford. Lire davantage

I think that cancelling the cap and trade act is a huge mistake. Global warming must be addressed and quickly. We can no longer afford to look the other way and pretend that it is not happening. I understand that people are not willing to pay more taxes but politicians must find a way to do this.
