Détails de la décision
We have issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (M&P Sewage) for Sco-Terra Operations Group Inc. for a Mobile Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) and surface discharge system to service the employment population of greenhouse development, including accessory warehouse and office facilities, with staff residing on-site and off-site in the Southwest Region of Ontario.
The approved works involves a mobile moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) WWTF, including pretreatment facilities comprised of oil-grease interceptor, flow equalization, primary sedimentation, MBBR biological treatment for carbon oxidation and nitrification, sludge storage, alkalinity addition, pH adjustment, tertiary treatment including phosphorus removal through chemical precipitation, tertiary filtration and ultra violet disinfection, with effluent discharge to surface water.
The proposed WWTF is designed for implementation in 2 stages of 60 cubic metres per day, with a rated capacity of 120 cubic metres per day of domestic sewage generated by an employment population comprised of workers residing on-site and other staff residing off-site.
The WWTF is designed to achieve tertiary effluent quality for dry-ditch discharge to surface water receivers such as intermittent flow ditches and municipal drains.
