Description of Instrument
This proposal is to amend Environmental Compliance Approval (Waste Disposal Site - landfill) No. 9256-7PKJQH for the use and operation of a woodwaste disposal site with a landfilling area of 8.5 hectares within a total area of 24 hectares for landfilling of the following categories of waste: bark, shavings, sawdust, and yard scrapings.

The hours of operations for the landfill are the daylight operating hours of the Hornepayne Power Inc. Cogen Plant (formerly known as the Becker Cogen Plant) (the plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
Approval is sought for reclamation of woodwaste from the landfill site, adding waste ash to waste types accepted by the site, landfilling of waste ash from the facility at the landfill site, reducing the total landfilling area to 5.9 hectares and the total site area to 9.43 hectares, revising the total landfill capacity to 247,995 cubic metres to account for woodwaste already deposited and being reclaimed, presenting a well-defined site development sequencing and updating the groundwater and surface water monitoring program to include an expanded monitoring well network.
