Détails de la décision
Desrosiers Geothermal Corporation will operate inside the Arthur Meighen Building the drilling of boreholes and installing closed loop geothermal heat exchangers in these boreholes.
Due to the location of the project, and the proximity of neighbouring buildings, TTC rail lines, and public roadways, the vent/flare stack will be located on the roof of the building. The vent/flare stack is installed to safely discharge any flammable gases encountered during the drilling of boreholes, and prevent property damage.
The application is supported by a work plan prepared in accordance with Ontario Regulation 98/12 (Ground Source Heat Pumps) which includes measures taken to protect the public and the environment in the event that hazardous gas is encountered.
