Groundtrax Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (air)

This proposal is for the renewal of the Limited Operational Flexibility for the Environmental Compliance Approval (air) No. 3412-8L8RSB for Groundtrax Inc., an abrasive blasting and coating facility located in the Town of Brighton, Ontario.

he emission sources from the manufacturing and associated processes that discharge to the air include a truck paint spray booth, open paint spray booth, atlantic international spray booth, curing oven, putty booth, baghouse dust collector, and the combustion emissions from five heaters fired with natural gas and propane. Emissions to the air from this facility include:

• HDI polyisocyanate (HDI-BT & HDI-IC),
• p-toluenesulfonyl isocyanate,
• talc - fibrous,
• silica – respirable (less than 10 µm diameter) quartz,
• ethyl benzene, and
• xylenes

The Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air), when issued, permits modifications to the facility subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air). The limited operational flexibility conditions have an expiry date. The company will be required to make an application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions.
