2634331 Ontario Inc. - Environmental Compliance Approval (waste)

This proposal is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (waste processing site) for 2634331 Ontario Inc., the operator of a waste processing facility located at 2884 Industrial Park Road, Smithville, Ontario.

The approximately 2-hectare site will be used as a hydrovac soil processing facility. The site receives slurry from hydrovac vehicles from multiple sites in Ontario and dry soil is generated by passive water separation. The site has a maximum daily receiving rate of 46 tonnes of liquid soil and a maximum total storage capacity of approximately 5,130 tonnes of soil.

Soil is tested and re-used off-property, no soil dewatered at the facility remains on site following the sampling and processing. No soil samples recovered to date have indicated that soil is not suitable for reuse. If soil did not meet reuse criteria, it would be transported and disposed of at a permitted off-site treatment or disposal facility. Separated water is tested and managed by an on-site stormwater management system.

Receiving, processing, and shipping activities may take place between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday. The site is to serve the Province of Ontario.
