I submit this comment knowing full well that some may scoff at it. Nonetheless, golf courses are an outdated, elitist, old-white-man luxury that needs to be done away with. There are numerous studies that highlight how environmentally destructive and unsustainable golf courses are. STOP supporting the gross extraction of water resources for the very minor elite to play a few rounds of golf. Convert those golf courses to naturalized land accessible to all. Or build a subdivision and create more housing. Or use xeriscaping and reinvent the traditional golf course model to one that’s more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
