My wife and I have been residents of Ancaster all our lives. We would not want the ERO to give the Hamilton Golf and Country a permit to take valuable natural water from Ancaster Creek. The environmental damage that could be done is too high a risk to take. Category 3 means the highest risk factor and that is not something we feel should be allowed for irrigation of a golf course.The HGCC should be denied the request to renew the permit. They can pay like everybody else and get the water directly from the city. The city has a pay-as-you-go water station in the Ancaster Industrial Park.They can get their water trucked in like most people who have wells and ponds they depend on for water.
