It is imperative that the consultation period for Bill 23 be extended at least to the end of December 2022. My special concerns are that there will be unintended consequences due to the changes you propose to the Ontario Heritage Act and related regulations. Such unintended loss of Ontario's valued built heritage is not reversible and I am certain that a short extension of consultation to year end may lead to positive amendments to Bill 23 that do not hinder its objectives.
