It is totally irresponsible to cancel the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy act! While greater scrutiny of all current diesel engines is appropriate - and I'm including here all vehicles, ships and other machinery - we do need to face up to what we are doing to our planet and attack the issue on various fronts. What was wrong with cap and trade, which is a market-based approach to controlling pollution by providing economic incentives for achieving reductions in the emissions of pollutants??
