Hello. I'd like to make my concerns known regarding the mining exploration that will be occurring near One Island Lake (Saturday Night project). I am concerned for the quiet enjoyment of our property at the lake. Our family has been on Trout Lake since the early 1900s and we are being impacted by current and more possible gravel pits and now may be impacted by mining exploration and development. I am concerned for the environment and the wildlife in this area, both on the ground and in the water. I certainly hope this is being taken into consideration. Also, I am wondering about the impact on the lake water. Will there be any issues with it? I am concerned regarding the increased traffic on Mapleward Road and Gilbride Road. More traffic means more noise and dust, as well as increased danger travelling on these roads. Who will pay for the necessary road upkeep? Will we be paying as the land owner taxpayers in these townships? Or will the mining company be responsible? Thanks you for your consideration of my concerns and hope they will be addressed.
