The MZO powers should not be broadened. Community planning and consultations are critical to making sure Ontario grows and builds infrastructure in a proper, meaningful way. The latest attempted demolition of the Foundry buildings shows the ridiculousness of MZOs and the absolute key role community voices need to play as Toronto changes and grows.
