I think it is quite reckless…

I think it is quite reckless to support mining in an integral old-growth forest in the face of climate change. We know that old growth forests are incredible at sequestering carbon and must protect them at all costs. This mining would implicate scores of important species and disrupt one of our most important (and culturally sacred) ecosystems - we must not knowingly do this.
