I am opposed to the mining…

I am opposed to the mining exploration slated for Wolf Lake. The loss of biodiversity and the old growth forests, surface contaminants and other detrimental effects to the ecosystem, in my opinion do not outweigh the positives for mining this area.

We as Canadians need to safeguard our old growth areas and take on greater environmental responsibility instead of seeing it from a financially profitable perspective. We can not undo mining once it’s done.

We are already losing critical environmental protection and we need to stop. Money disappears, habitats disappear but the scars we leave from mining do not.

Please stop this proposal and help safeguard our biodiversity.
