I don't believe these amendments should be allowed to pass. Residents in the area are currently experiencing issues with noise pollution from the Triple M facility. Residents have reported loud bangs and noises associated with the scrapping process, even late into the night, disrupting resident's sleep. The noise abatement strategy that is being considered in these amendments will likely not be enough to adequately address this issue. Relying on storage piles to reduce noise is ineffective, and is not a true, permanent solution. The facility should also have its hours of operation restricted to between 7am and 11pm, or even a smaller window, to address the issue with noise pollution at night.
