I am 100% against this slaughterhouse. In our current climate crisis, it is not just folly, but insanity, to breed and kill more animals. We are also moving into a new era of information regarding the detriment eating animals poses to our health. On top of that, there is some serious concern for the mental health of slaughterhouse workers, as coldly killing thousands of animals daily has been proven to take a huge toll on them, creating PTSD in many, and desensitizing them to violence, which can spill over into their lives outside of their workplace. This corporation should be focusing their efforts on building more plant based meat alternative production operations, that enrich our economy, health, society and that spare our environment and the suffering and death of millions of innocent animals, who are all individuals with feelings, and who should not be commodified.
