This application has only recently come to my attention, and it is painfully obvious that it has not to this point included any of the consultation with the Indigenous community in this region - which is a Treaty requirement.
We are the caretakers of this land, and keepers of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum & Two Row Wampum. Along with everyone else in this region, we are all Treaty People - and this affects the environment and health of all (people and wildlife) living nearby.
Until a proper meeting is arranged with members of the surrounding Indigenous community, this application should not proceed.
