To whom it concerns,

The residents living near this stockpile feel the MOE is not doing enough. Geosoils claims that "no new soil has been brought to the site since 2019", yet we have observed (and filmed) constant activity at this site, with trucks going in and out all day. The height of the stockpile has tripled in 3 years. See attached Google Street View of the site in July 2018 - a flat empty lot. We estimate that the stockpile is currently 50 ft high (conservative estimate) and the size of the lot is 500x500 ft. That's approx 12,500,000 cubic feet, converts to 463,000 cubic yards (using 27 cubic ft/cubic yard). At a conservative 10 cubic yards per truck, that's 46,300 trucks that have come to that site in the past 3 years.

We don't believe that any of these trucks have covers on them.

Geosoils also claims to be doing road cleaning on a daily basis by wet sweeping and washing the paved areas, and providing daily maintenance of stockpiles and keeping active surfaces moist to control off site dust emissions - they are not!

The stockpile is dangerously high (over 50ft!) and obviously can't be covered.

There are so many MOE best practices that are not being followed.

Where is the soil coming from? Has the soil been tested for contamination? How long will we have to put up with this? Should we be concerned about water runoff. Have air quality tests been conducted and what were the results?

The MOE and Geosoils owe the residents an explanation and answers to all our questions and concerns. Please have a meeting with us to discuss!!
