In 1999, the Government of Ontario committed to protect this area as a forest reserve. I’m very concerned that mining claims are back on the agenda.

You know the scientific importance of keeping this ecosystem in tact, and you know the value of keeping our old growth red pine forests in good health. I don’t need to explain.

I enjoy canoeing in the area and would love to continue visiting for many years to come.

Honour the promise you made in 1999. Don’t allow speculative development on such rare lands. Save the red pines.
