I am opposed to ALL…

I am opposed to ALL development in that area due to the sensitive nature of the environment. This is the BASIN of the Nipissing watershed - a vital and extremely delicate wetlands that cannot be preserved with storm drains or even by being fenced off. Wild cranberry bogs and turtle homes in lands so delicate even foot falls damage them. This region is, in some cases, the ONLY habitat for so many endangered and less endangered creations in our region. This region is a vital corridor for migrating creatures. We cannot allow it to be damaged more than it already has been!

There are so many already stripped lands here; disparaged YEARS ago of their trees or the soil stripped for minerals, these are the prime grounds for development. Many of them are just as close to the highway. There is no excuse whatsoever and I find it unconscionable that we would even consider building anything on our watershed, the life blood of our community! Much less so something so hugely damaging as a large casino development with it's supporting industries.

Please, PLEASE, do not allow this damage to continue here. Not in this location. Not in our watershed.
