I’ve lived in the neighbourhood for six years, and generally accept that some days will be a bit stinky from the nearby slaughterhouses. HOWEVER, we walk our dog and young son on Lavender Trail regularly, and there are days where the air is suddenly thick with harsh acidic smells, making it harder to breathe, and every instinct says that this is unsafe and to turn around and go home. We should be reducing all unsafe emissions in this neighbourhood, not increasing them! I should not feel that I’m putting my family’s health at risk by just being outside in my own neighbourhood. Please do not approve this proposal.
