I acknowledge that the meat packers were here before I purchased my house but the area has become more residential than industrial over the last 10 years. This is no longer an area suitable for the meat packing industry and I don't wish to see them expand. I remember the smell in the area 15 years ago and don't want to return to that. For the first few years I lived here we couldn't open the windows due to the smell. The stockyards mall is a great addition to the neighborhood but is still struggling. Having a general stink in the air will just hurt everyone. Let the meat industry stay if they want to but please don't let them expand. Thanks for listening.
