Hello,
I've recently read about the expansion of the meat packing/ slaughter house and refrigeration
Industry at the address of 200 Rockcliffe Ct. The land was severed for sale to St. Helen's Meat
packers with no public consultation of the surrounding community on the proposed land use.
I invite you to take a trip to the site, to see that it is located within a flood plain, and is
clearly surrounded by a densely populated residential area. The site has 3 schools located within 1
KM of the proposed refrigeration site and doesn't align with the the communities and cities goal of
becoming the first net zero emission community in Toronto.
I call on the ministry of the Environment to deny this application for change and alight with the
wishes of the community to not have additional heavy industry developed in the community that will
have a negative effect and impact on the health and wellbeing of the community.
Thank you,
