This is an absolute joke that multiple slaughter houses in this area have all applied at the same
time for a variance to pollution laws. Anyone that has ever stepped foot in this area has been
subject to illegal emissions for many years. When does one company have a right to pollute an
entire neighbourhood with toxic smells? The neighbourhood is trying to revitize itself and any
variance to the pollution will cost the community for many years to come. Not just through
increased health problems but in lack of development in this area. The Stockyards Village mall
where thousands of children visit (and a daycare is present) is down wind from these plants. If
they want less strict air pollution laws they should move away from people. Please do not allow
this based on the health of the children that live and play and attend childcare in this area. This
is an amazing opportunity to move forward not backwards. I am sick and tired of being exposed to
this pollution while in this area. I beg you not to move forward with any variance.
