I am against this proposal…

I am against this proposal to permit an increase in emissions from the Ryding Regency company in a residential, low SES neighbourhood with the already highest rates of asthma in the city (Toronto Public Health). In addition, odour is a stigmatizing factor for any neighbourhood, let alone one already dealing with significant risk factors. The above proposal appears to violate the City's Equity and Inclusion policy, "The City recognizes the dignity and worth of all people by equitably treating communities and employees, fairly providing services, by consulting with communities and making sure everyone can participate in decision-making." but perhaps the province does not have any policy of this kind? This proposal appears to lack consultation with the community. No one from the Ministry or the company has even attempted to address the real and foreseeably damaging impacts on the environment, and the health and quality of life of residents and local business owners.
