The amalgamation of these licenses is not in the public interest all the while the site continues to need inspection and the air quality remains suspect in surrounding areas. MNRF will need to join with MOE and Public Health - Ontario to measure the human health impacts of current operations before making any decision on whether the amalgamation might better or worsen the impacts. None of that kind of examination seems to be present in the current posting, but is vital. A longer comment period will also be needed because of the complexity of the case.
