In regards to the reply to my previous comment on these proposals it is not hard to see how these changes are linked to the proposed landfill project by Walker Environmental on said lands - Having seen documents relating to the changes I see less tree cover - a lovely area where the landfill can be extended and more potential areas for a leaking landfill liner would directly impact larger future lakes that would be directly connected to our ground water (Just because that is how the laws of physics and chemistry work). I do not see the need for a rush to make these changes other than to save on some administrative costs for Carmeuse and maybe allow the MNRF to further reduce the human resources that are employed to also meet the overall needs of the community in addition to provincial resource utilization. Interesting that Carmeuse considers the bodies of water as "Lakes" in the rehabilitation plans but the current "Quarry Lake" is considered a "Pond" by the same company and the MOECC. Unless there is some over-arching need that could be explained in a Public Meeting where Carmeuse can show the need and the MNRF and hopefully the MOECC and Local County officials would be available to answer questions I would suggest that the MNRF tells Carmeuse to put the requested changes to their rehabilitation plan on hold until after the landfill proposal has been withdrawn or developed. Why the rush
