Concerns regarding EBR registry number 012-8238 Noise - no noise studies done in respect to close proximity to neighboring residential properties. Concerns are increased truck traffic and most concerning is the stone crushing intentions associated with this operation. Dust - airborne particles affecting air quality and contamination of nearby Fisher Creek Wells - close proximity to existing shallow wells with possible contamination and also possibilities of drying up these sources of clean water. Fisher Creek - the endangerment and threatening of current species calling this creek home and also the change that will occur to the wildlife habitat. Agriculture - any land that has the properties to produce food is prime agricultural land. This pit and it's resulting after affects render this acreage useless in the production of food. Traffic - this is a major concern on many fronts. Increased volumes of trucks creating noise and dust and highway safety issues. School buses and children waiting on the sides of roads increase safety concerns. The normal flow of traffic is interrupted by slow moving vehicles entering and exiting from entrances. Extra extreme pressure placed on the two main bridges on Sharpes Creek Line spanning the Maitland River ( Forsters Bridge and Jervis Bridge ). In particular the Jervis Bridge with it's sweeping curve design. Property Values - huge concerns with the estimated property value losses of 30 plus% on neighboring properties and continuing to properties extrending several kms away. Landscape appeal - ACW and Ontario's West Coast landscape beauty suffers from the changes that result in these operations. We need only to take a look at the damage on Sharpes Creek Line between Hills Road and School Road to confirm this.
