Dear Sir/Madam, I am absolutely opposed to interfering at all with anymore wetlands in Canada. Ontario has lost so many wetlands to sprawl and development. We must stop it now. We should be protecting and preserving these wetlands. They are extremely important parts of the ecosystem. Amphibians and all wildlife rely on them. They act as filters. Destroying them can only lead to destruction of our own water source. I am appalled that potential development over wetlands can possibly continue. What are environmental assessments for? There is something very wrong with our system if we continue to destroy wetlands in Canada. Southern Ontario has been hit really hard. The Blanding's turtles have almost been wiped out. Snapping turtles are on the species of concern list. Road mortality is devastating so many species of amphibians and wildlife, do we need greed and poor judgement to wipe these species out completely? Do we, as educated human beings not have a responsibility to protect these very important wetlands for our own well being as well as future generations? Is this all about money and greed? Common sense dictates that we must protect our water sources and the ecosystem. Please stop this and make a shift to protect and preserve these very important wetlands. Please consider future generations. Thank you very much for your consideration.
